A new member of the family.......

Well it certainly doesn't take much some days to get me all flustered and verklempt now does it??!!!!! We have a 4 year old very docile very loveable and sweet golden retriever and have been thinking about getting her a little buddy for some company now that we are both away most of the day. I knew that I did not want a puppy as they just take too much time and I knew I wanted something female and small.....not yappy....good in the car, good on a leash....good with other dogs and cats, good with kids (we don't have any but we do have some that come to visit) etc., etc!

For the past 2 weeks we have been dog sitting an adorable lil shi-pooh 4 month old boy!! Well you should see the two of em!! They are soooooooooooooooooo sweet together....our dog is so docile and gentle with this little rugrat and lets him win all kinds of games of tug of war eventhough our dog could whip this lil one around the room like nobody's business if she wanted to. But our dog just plays and plas with him and when she has had enough she gets up on the one end of the couch she is allowed on and the little one can't get at her anymore!!

So this morning at work during a quiet time I checked the online classifieds for this area to see what there might be in terms of getting a playmate for our dog. Well it was another one of those "...planets aligning right...and all is right with the world..." situations. Posted JUST today (and keep in mind I have been checking the online classifieds for a few weeks now) was an ad for a 1 1/2 year old femal shih-poo needing a good home due to alergies in the family!!! So after flying emails back and forth between the owner and moi asking a zillion questions......I will be picking the new addition to our family up on Wednesday afternoon!!! can we say woooooohooooooooooo!!! LOL like I said....it don't take much!!!
